Mutianyu is famous for its well-preserved watchtowers, mountain views, and fewer crowds compared with some other sections. If you would like to take the enclosed cable car or the chairlift/toboggan ride, your guide will be happy to assist you with purchasing the tickets.
After the visit, your driver and guide will take you back to the airport, with the return time carefully planned around your next flight.

Compared with some other Great Wall sections, this route is more time-efficient for a layover visit. After arriving at the scenic area, you can start walking on the Great Wall without spending extra time on cable cars or long transfer procedures. This gives you more time to enjoy the views, take photos, and experience the Wall during your short stay in Beijing.
