Istanbul Sand Brewed Turkish Coffee Workshop in Old Town

The traditional preparation of Turkish coffee involves a meticulous process that starts with the selection and grinding of high-quality coffee beans to ensure the perfect fineness. However, what makes the experience truly exceptional is the method of brewing the coffee on sand. In Istanbul, specially designed sand-heated copper pots known as "cezve" are filled with water, coffee, and sugar, and placed on heated sand. This method allows for gentle and controlled heat distribution, enhancing the flavors and aromas of the coffee. With the pot nestled in the warm sand, it gradually reaches the desired temperature, resulting in a rich, flavorful brew.

For visitors to Istanbul, indulging in this unique experience is an extraordinary opportunity to immerse oneself in the customs, traditions, and flavors that make Turkey such a delightfully diverse destination.
