What to expect

Your adventure begins at 2:00 AM with pickup from your hotel and a drive to Cumbres del Ajusco National Park. With headlamps on, follow your local guide through a peaceful pine forest while the city sleeps below. Arrive at Cruz del Marqués, approximately 3,930 meters (12,890 feet) above sea level, just as the horizon begins to glow. Watch the sunrise over Mexico City’s volcanic landscape and capture the moment during an included photo and video session. On clear mornings, you may see Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl in the distance. Afterward, descend in daylight and stop for breakfast at a nearby local restaurant; the cost of the meal is not included. Return to your hotel at approximately noon. Limited to six travelers, this small-group hike offers a more personal and uncrowded experience.
