Day 1: Quito to Amazon: Overnight Journey & First Jungle Experience

   Your adventure begins in Quito at night, where you will be picked up at the designated meeting point at the agreed time to start your journey toward the Amazon. You will board a comfortable overnight tourist bus, a service already included in your package for a seamless and worry-free experience. As you leave the city behind, the landscape gradually transforms while you travel through the Andes and descend into the lush Amazon basin. The journey takes approximately 10 to 12 hours, allowing you to rest and wake up surrounded by nature. By early morning, you will arrive directly at Cuyabeno Bridge, the main entrance to the reserve, where the lodge staff will be waiting to welcome you and guide you into the next stage of your rainforest experience.

Day 2: Cuyabeno Amazon Arrival & First Jungle Experience

   Your journey continues at Cuyabeno Bridge at 10:30 am, the gateway to the reserve, where your guide will welcome you. From here, a motorized canoe ride of approximately two and a half hours takes you deep into the rainforest. Along the river, keep your eyes open for herons, kingfishers, macaws, and monkeys hidden among the dense vegetation. Upon arrival at the lodge, enjoy a welcome cocktail, settle into your room, and relax before lunch. In the afternoon, venture to Laguna Grande by canoe to explore the flooded Igapó forest and learn about this unique ecosystem. As the sun sets, swim in the calm waters while the jungle comes alive with sounds. Continue with a night exploration to spot caimans and nocturnal wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner, followed by a briefing of the adventures ahead.

Day 3: Deep Jungle Exploration & River Discovery

Return to the lodge for breakfast before heading out again to explore deeper into the forest, either by canoe or on foot. After this immersive experience, return to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch and time to relax surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. Day 4: Siona Culture & Amazon Wildlife Encounters

Return to the lodge for breakfast before heading out on a cultural journey to visit a Siona family living deep in the rainforest. This authentic encounter allows you to connect with local traditions, participate in the preparation of cassava bread, and learn how ancestral knowledge continues to shape daily life in the Amazon. Share a traditional lunch with the community before returning to the lodge for a moment of rest. In the afternoon, venture into the jungle on a guided walk, where you will discover the smaller yet fascinating side of the ecosystem, including insects, spiders, and tree frogs. End the day with dinner at the lodge, reflecting on a day rich in culture, nature, and connection.

Day 5: Farewell to the Amazon & Return Journey

   Wake up early for one last canoe excursion, a final opportunity to witness the Amazon’s wildlife as the forest gently comes to life. Glide along the river in the soft morning light, taking in the sights and sounds that make this ecosystem so unique. Return to the lodge for breakfast before preparing for departure. Take a moment to soak in the surroundings, capturing the last impressions of this unforgettable experience. Check-out is at 8:30 am, followed by a farewell snack for the journey ahead. Travel back by motorized canoe to Cuyabeno Bridge, arriving around 10:30 am. From here, your onward transfer will be ready to take you back to Quito. As you leave the rainforest behind, you carry with you not just memories, but a deeper connection to nature and the spirit of the Amazon.
