What to expect

  1. Tai O

    Board a boat for a glimpse of the most famous wooden stilt houses along the waterfront. This traditional fishing village is a mosaic of surprise with its tiny shops, shrines, local market and fishing junks.
  2. Po Lin Monastery

    Nestled among spectacularly scenic mountains, this peaceful monastery boasts of marvelous views and houses one of the world's largest outdoor seated bronze Buddha statues.
  3. Tian Tan Buddha (Big Buddha)

**For pick up request at other downtown hotels, travelers are required to contact us at least 48 hours prior to tour departure to confirm possibility and pick up time.**

Additional information

  • Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • This activity ends at Tung Chung Station for group size of 2-3 person
  • In case if the cable car service is suspended due to adverse weather, scheduled maintenance or other safety reasons, taxi / coach transfer will be arranged accordingly
  • A complimentary boat ride in Tai O will be temporarily suspended in the event of maintenance/ any unforeseen circumstances
  • This activity requires a minimum of 2 participants to take place. If the minimum is not met, tour will be cancelled or you can book an alternative date
  • The Ngong Ping cable car service will be closed temporarily for scheduled maintenance from 8-18 Sep 2026. Tour will continue to operate during this period and guests will travel to Ngong Ping Village and Tai O by our minibus or public bus.
  • If either Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above / the Black, Red Rainstorm Warning Signal / Landslip Warning is issued and still in force two hours before the tour's assembly time, or expected to be issued within two hours of the departure time on departure day, the tour will be rescheduled. If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1, No. 3 / Yellow Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the tour will start as usual. If the Hong Kong Observatory hoists Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above / the Black, Red Rainstorm Warning Signal / Landslip Warning during the tour, the tour may be cancelled to ensure the safety of participants without compensation
