Situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, it’s renowned for its intricate Thai architecture, lavish decorations, and detailed spires. Renowned for its tall, intricately decorated spires, Wat Arun is covered in colorful porcelain tiles and seashells that shimmer beautifully in sunlight. The temple, dedicated to Aruna, the Hindu god of dawn, is especially striking at sunrise and sunset. Its central prang, or tower, rises 70 meters high, offering breathtaking views of the river and Bangkok’s skyline. Opened in 2002, it features a single, 160-meter-tall pylon that supports its cables, giving the bridge an elegant, asymmetrical design. Named after King Rama VIII, the bridge combines architectural beauty with functionality, serving as both a transportation route and a city landmark.
