Overview

This 2 days camping safari is a perfect choice for travelers short on time, and the travelers who have less time left after climbing Kilimanjaro. This safari starts and ends in Arusha town. With our experienced driver guides, it will be a trip of a lifetime!

Tanzania has so much to offer! To make it easier to plan your trip, Tanzania has been divided into regional circuits – all offering breathtaking landscapes, intriguing wildlife and a plethora of exciting safari activities! The two main Tanzania safari circuits are northern and southern.

A northern Tanzania safari should be on everyone's travel bucket list. The Serengeti National Park's Great Migration is one of the most amazing wildlife spectacles in the world, whilst safari on the Ngorongoro Crater floor of the extinct volcano at Ngorongoro is a game viewing environment that has no equal.

What to expect

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
  1. Tarangire National Park
    7h
Tarangire covering 2,850 sq. miles is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania. This well-watered park is famous for its diversity of wildlife, large herds of elephants wandering, and tree climbing pythons often spotted in the branches of its massive iconic baobab trees. This park is worth a visit to experience the perfect diversity of East Africa and Tanzania between July and December when large numbers of animals migrate from Lake Manyara. Dinner and overnight at Fanaka Campsite.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
  1. Ngorongoro Crater
    6h · Admission ticket included
The Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation area are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to approximately 25,000 large mammals and a huge variety of smaller species making it a target for discerning safari goers. Packed full of game, due to the plentiful water and food available on the crater floor throughout the year.

It is estimated that over 24,000 large mammals live in the Ngorongoro Crater. They include waterbucks, African leopards, black rhinos, buffaloes, cheetahs, crocodiles, East African wild dogs, elands, grant’s gazelle, zebra, hippopotamus, impala, lions, oribi, Thomson’s gazelles, topi and wildebeest. Most of these animals remain in the natural enclosure without migrating except for a few wildebeest and elephants. This has led to significant inbreeding in some species like lions.

Later in the afternoon you will drive back to Arusha town and drop-off at Point Zone Resort or drive direct to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
