What to expect

15m

Unveiled in 1860, the Fontaine Saint-Michel is a distinguished landmark at the heart of Paris. Designed by Gabriel Davioud and brought to life by nine sculptors, the fountain nearly featured Napoleon Bonaparte at its center. Political backlash changed its fate, and instead Saint Michael the Archangel was chosen, eternally battling a dragon. Water pours from snarling beasts below, while figures of the four cardinal virtues stand watch, turning this monument into a theatrical clash of faith, power, and history.
Ile de la Cite
20m

Île de la Cité, the birthplace of Paris, has been the city’s political, royal, and spiritual heart for over 2,000 years. First settled by the Celtic Parisii, it became the Roman city of Lutetia, a Merovingian royal seat, and later the center of medieval French power. Kings ruled from the Palais de la Cité, Notre-Dame rose as a Gothic masterpiece, and Sainte-Chapelle was built to house sacred relics. During the French Revolution, the Conciergerie became a feared prison, holding Marie Antoinette. Transformed in the 19th century by Haussmann, the island remains today a symbol of Parisian justice, history, and enduring grandeur.
Conciergerie
15m · Admission ticket not included

Set on the banks of the Seine in the very heart of Paris, the Conciergerie—part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site—is one of the oldest surviving vestiges of the medieval Palais de la Cité, once the royal residence and seat of power of the French kings. Transformed into a prison in the late 14th century, it later became infamous during the French Revolution as the home of the Revolutionary Tribunal. Among its most renowned prisoners was Queen Marie-Antoinette. On this exterior guided visit, admire the grandeur of the Conciergerie as your guide brings its dramatic history vividly to life.
Pont Neuf
10m

Completed in 1607, the Pont Neuf is Paris’s oldest bridge, famed for its sidewalks, stone mascarons, and views over the Seine. A symbol of early urban innovation, it links the Île de la Cité to both riverbanks and remains a timeless Parisian landmark.
Maison de Victor Hugo
50m · Admission ticket included

Discover the private world of Victor Hugo—the man behind the genius. Explore his life as a visionary artist, bold thinker, and towering literary figure. The museum reveals the intimate setting of Victor Hugo’s own apartment.
Sainte-Chapelle
1h · Admission ticket included

The tour concludes at Sainte-Chapelle, where your guide will provide a comprehensive introduction before you enjoy time to explore at your own pace.

Erected in under seven years (c. 1241–1248) under the reign of Louis IX, the Sainte-Chapelle stands as a jewel of Rayonnant Gothic architecture in Paris. Commissioned to enshrine the revered relics of the Passion—most notably Christ’s Crown of Thorns—this 13th-century masterpiece is renowned for its 15 monumental stained-glass windows, rising 15 meters high and forming a breathtaking “wall of light.
