Your hike takes place well away from the crowds in the remote QianHuShan, Thousand Lakes Mountains.
After traveling from your accommodations to the starting point, you and your mountain guide will set off into the wilderness. For the following 3-7 days you will hike further and further into nature only touched by small local Tibetan families that have lived with the land for centuries.
With all that you need to survive in the bag on your back and only your two feet to carry you across the terrain, each day will be filled with unique adventures. Unspoiled views of majestic mountains, vibrant blue skies, pristine meadows, and some of the wildlife that make this area their home are one of the rewards for taking on this trekking challenge.
Aside from trekking through some of Yunnan's most precious mountains, you will also get to experience true backcountry living. Each day will follow the rhythms of nature as we rise from our tents with the sun, and conclude our day after it sets. Maybe you'll even discover you're a true backcountry chef!
