Overview
Budapest is a subtle blend between sophistication and simplicity. With the “gentle waves” of the Danube separating the city into Buda and Pest, its long history engulfs every street and every corner, offering you the experience of a lifetime. Overall, the city has a fin-de-siècle feel to it, as most of the buildings you will see today were built in the late 19th century, the so called “golden age” of the Hungarian Capital.
You will learn about:
The golden age of Modernist Art
The Ottoman invasion
The Austro-Hungarian rule
Hungary’s 1100-year-old history
The story of the first King of Hungary
The Chain Bridge and it’s Lions
The castle and Mattias Church
