What to expect

  1. Siem Reap
    1h
Begin with hotel pickup in your vintage Jeep and leave the busy streets of Siem Reap behind. Travel through the peaceful countryside, following off-the-beaten-path roads through rice fields, local villages, and rural landscapes.

Enjoy a glimpse of everyday Cambodian life along the way as you journey toward Kampong Phluk Floating Village, where your local experience on the water begins.
  2. Kampong Phluk Floating Village
    2h · Admission ticket included
Arrive at the Kampong Phluk ticket office to refresh before meeting your local expert guide, who will introduce you to the community and share the stories behind life on the ever-changing waters of Tonlé Sap Lake.

Step aboard a local boat and glide through the village, passing stilted homes, fishing boats, schools, and everyday community life. Your guide will help you discover how generations of families have adapted to the seasonal rise and fall of the lake.

For an authentic local experience, you can choose to take a small rowing boat operated by a local woman, exploring the quieter waterways while supporting the community directly.

As the boat moves through the village and flooded forest, take in the peaceful scenery and discover a different side of Cambodia; where life moves with the water.
  3. Tonle Sap Lake
    20m · Admission ticket included
Continue by boat beyond the village and out onto the open waters of Tonlé Sap Lake, one of Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lakes. Pause here to take in the vast horizon, peaceful surroundings, and changing landscape shaped by the lake’s seasonal water levels.

It’s a moment to slow down, breathe, and appreciate the incredible scale of Tonlé Sap before returning through the village.
  4. Siem Reap
    1h
After exploring the open waters of Tonlé Sap, cruise back through Kampong Phluk by boat. Then hop back into your vintage Jeep and enjoy the countryside journey back to Siem Reap, taking in the rural scenery and local life along the way.
