Overview

Firstly, let’s meet up close by to the Blue Mosque and we will start this exclusive private tour. There is so much to learn that your private tour guide will take you to amazing locations here!

The first stop is the Blue Mosque, named for the tiles of this color that are inside.

There are more than 50 different tile designs. The most varied colours, and all were made by hand in Iznik, under the direction of master potter Kaşıcı Hasan.

It was built between 1609 and 1617 by the Ottoman architect Mehmet Aga, disciple of Mimar Sinan. Mimar Sinan used the imperial mosques that his master had built as a base.
