Uyuni Salt Flat and Lagoon Tour 3 Days and 2 Nights - Shared tour

Day 1: UYUNI – COLCHANI – ISLA INCAHUASI – PUERTO CHUVICA

   The tour starts in Uyuni, Bolivia. Pick-up is available from your lodging in Uyuni or the bus terminal. The departure is at 10:30 a.m.. Once the group is gathered, you will travel in 4x4 vehicles with a maximum capacity of 6 passengers per car.
   
   ⚠️ Note: Be prepared for extreme conditions in the Altiplano:
   
   High Altitudes: You will reach elevations of nearly 5,000 meters (16,400 ft) above sea level at the Sol de Mañana geysers.
   - Cold Temperatures: In winter (June to August), nighttime temperatures can drop between -8°C and -18°C.
   What to wear: It is recommended to bring warm clothing, gloves, and a hat.
   
   Final Details: The final itinerary is confirmed during a briefing provided by the operator one day before the tour begins.
2. Colchani

   Explore a charming town known for its traditional salt production and local handicrafts made by the community.
3. Salar de Uyuni

   Venture into the world's largest salt flat to visit the "Eyes of the Salt" and a unique Salt Museum constructed entirely out of salt blocks.
4. Isla Incahuasi
   3h · Admission ticket not included
   Hike to the summit of this rocky island located in the heart of the salt flat to admire ancient giant cacti and petrified coral formations.
   
   Perspectivas (Fun Photos) Take advantage of the vast, flat white landscape to play with perspective and capture creative, fun photographs.
   
   Entrance fee: 30 Bs (paid on site only in cash)
   
   -Note: Please be aware that Isla Incahuasi is not open all year round as it can become inaccessible during the rainy season.

   Accommodation: 1st Night - Puerto Chuvica - Hostal de Sal (Salt Hotel).

Day 2: PUERTO CHUVICA – LAGUNAS ALTIPLÁNICAS – LAGUNA COLORADA

   On the second day, we cross the Chiguana Desert, a high-altitude salt flat surrounded by volcanoes. You will enjoy stunning views of the active Ollagüe Volcano, which still shows volcanic activity from its summit.

   Visit a series of breathtaking altiplanic lagoons: Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota. These beautiful bodies of water serve as essential habitats for Andean flamingos and other wild species native to the region.
3. Siloli Desert

   Explore the Siloli Desert, considered one of the most arid and surreal landscapes in the world. Here, you will see the famous "Stone Tree," a natural volcanic rock formation shaped by wind erosion over thousands of years.
4. Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve of Andean Fauna

   End the day at the spectacular Laguna Colorada, famous for its intense red waters caused by algae. You can observe hundreds of pink flamingos contrasting with the deep red and white borax deposits.

Day 3: GEYSERS – DALÍ DESERT – HITO CAJÓN

   Early start at 05:00 a.m. to see bubbling mud and fumaroles at 5,000 meters altitude.
2. Aguas Termales De Polques

   Enjoy a relaxing bath in natural thermal waters surrounded by the mountains.

3. Salvador Dali Desert

4. Laguna Blanca

   Visit these two stunning lagoons located at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano. Laguna Verde is famous for its brilliant emerald color, which shifts depending on the wind and mineral content.
5. Uyuni

   It’s time to say goodbye to travelers on the 3D/2N one-way tour. They’ll be dropped off in Uyuni town, while the rest of the group begins the return journey to San Pedro de Atacama across the Altiplano.
   
   Tour Conclusion (Two Options):
   -Option 1: Return to Uyuni – Travel back through the Valley of the Rocks, arriving at approximately 3:00 p.m.
   -Option 2: Transfer to Chile – Bus transfer from Hito Cajón (Bolivia-Chile border) to San Pedro de Atacama, arriving between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
   
   Note: Border tax is 17 Bs.
