    The famous beach of Matala, one of the most popular tourist destinations of Crete, located close to Phaestus, the second largest palace of Minoan Civilization.

    For most people, Matala means only one thing: hippies. Back in the late 1960s – 1970s, this little town was a colony of the “flower children”, who lived in the caves that used to be former Roman tombs.

    Here we will enjoy the crystal waters, the warm sun and lunch by the sea, while later we can optionally explore the prehistoric caves (entrance fee 4€), carved on the steep rocks of the area.

Meeting and pickup

Pickup details

Pick-up and drop-off services are available from designated points, primarily located near hotels in Ammoudara, Analipsi, Anissaras, Chersonissos, Gournes, Gouves, Heraklion City Centre, Karteros, Kokkini Hani, Malia, and Stalis.

IMPORTANT: Participants will be assigned the nearest designated pick-up point based on the location they provide. The exact pick-up point and details will be communicated after booking confirmation.
Upon confirmation, the supplier will send you your pickup details, including the pickup location, pickup time and activity voucher. Please check your WhatsApp/Viber messages and email, including your junk/spam folder.

Failure to check the information provided or contact us in time may result in a missed pickup or activity. In such cases, refund requests will not be accepted.
