Discover Hangzhou's food scene with an English-speaking host who has lived in the city for many years and understands the questions that come with exploring unfamiliar Chinese food.

Traditional noodles, local snacks and neighbourhood eateries are the focus. Your host helps you understand menus, choose dishes and order, while sharing the food culture behind what you eat. The route is shaped around your interests, appetite and the time of your visit.

Food and drinks are purchased separately, giving you the freedom to decide what to try and how much to spend.

This is a private experience exclusively for your booking. Whether travelling alone, as a couple or with friends, no unrelated guests will be added.

Depending on your interests and the time of day, we may explore local specialties such as Pian'er Chuan noodles, street-side claypots, dumplings, grilled skewers, savory pancakes and regional Chinese favorites.

Your host will help you navigate menus, discover unfamiliar ingredients and experience everyday food culture. The route and stops are flexible, taking into account your interests and local availability. You are welcome to share your food preferences, special requests or places you'd like to explore with your host in advance or at any time during the experience.

1. Wheelchairs & Strollers: This is a flexible walking experience that may include historic streets, busy markets, narrow eateries and uneven surfaces. Guests with wheelchairs, strollers or mobility requirements are welcome to discuss their needs in advance. Routes can be adapted where practical, although accessibility at every venue cannot be guaranteed.
2. Service Animals: Guests travelling with service animals are asked to contact us in advance. Access to individual restaurants, food stalls and markets may vary, and we will do our best to plan a suitable route, subject to local regulations and venue policies.
3. Public Transport & Meeting Arrangements: Hangzhou has an extensive metro and public transport network. We can arrange a convenient, easy-to-find meeting point near public transport or, by prior agreement, meet guests at their hotel or another suitable location, subject to availability.
4. Families, Infants & Child Seats: Families with children are welcome. As this is a private walking experience, the pace and route can be adjusted where practical. Return transport by taxi or DiDi is included within the stated distance limit, but child safety seats are not provided as standard. Please discuss any requirements before booking.
5. Dietary Requirements & Food Allergies: Please let your host know about any food allergies, dietary restrictions or preferences before the experience. We can help identify suitable food options and adapt the route where practical, although ingredients, preparation methods and allergen controls at individual vendors cannot always be verified or guaranteed.
