Overview
Granada still serves a free tapa with almost every drink, and this tour shows you why the city eats the way it does. Over 3.5 hours with a local guide, walk from Granada Cathedral through the Alcaicería, the old Moorish silk market, and into the whitewashed lanes of the lower Albaicín, the quarter that looks out at the Alhambra.
Along the way you’ll enjoy 8+ tastings: Piononos, the city’s beloved syrup-soaked pastry, cured Alpujarra ham with vermouth, chilled Salmorejo with an Alhambra beer, and slow-cooked Rabo de Toro (oxtail stew) with Andalusian red wine, plus tapas at every stop. Between bites, hear how eight centuries of Al-Andalus and the Christian city that followed still shape what locals eat today.
Then there’s the Secret Dish. Every Secret Food Tours guest remembers it, but we’re keeping it to ourselves until it’s on your plate.
