Unirea Salt Mine

We visit the Unirea Salt Mine from Slanic - Prahova, the largest salt mine in Europe, located 208 m under the ground. Inside the mine you can find a small history museum, a soccer field, a children's playground and many other interesting things. It is breathtaking to be walking inside the mine; there are just a few places in the world where you can admire such a huge underground structure! The height of the main gallery is 54 m. You could fit an 18 story building inside!

Please note - certain times of the year the salt mines are closed on a Tuesday, too. Please check about this by sending us a message. Thank you

A very nice winery from Buzau County; short tour of the winery; after that, you can taste some of the Premium and Super-Premium wines of the winery. 3 wines tasting or 6 wines tasting, very affordable rates. The winery is located on the countryside, off the beaten path, the staff is very friendly, there are so many reasons to stop here!

We will usually meet you in the hotel lobby or in front of your hotel. Please note on Monday and sometimes on Tuesday the salt mines are closed! If you wish to take the tour on Monday or Tuesday we can replace the salt mines with another attraction, such as Snagov Monastery. Also, if it rains a lot and the Muddy volcanoes are not accessible or if your tour takes place in the winter and the Muddy volcanoes cannot be reached during daytime because of the driving distance, we can replace it with another attraction such as Snagov Monastery
