The Poldi Pezzoli Museum holds over 6,200 inventoried objects. Among its main activities are: conservation and restoration of works, exposure of the same according to the most up-to-date museographic criteria, acquisition of new works and entire collections, study, development of educational activities aimed at all categories of public. In recent years, great importance has been given to the communication of initiatives promoted by the museum through social media and the internet.

The preparation for the visit can take place through the Museum site, which also offers the possibility, to smart-phone owners, to link with a series of data on the history of the house and the works during the visit.
When the museum enters the Museum today, which is increasingly capillary through social networks, it has at its disposal audio guides for adults (in six languages: Chinese, French, Japanese, English, Italian, Russian). Next to the works you can find cards in two languages and with information on the technique, provenance, dating and restoration of the works themselves.

The Museum is closed every Tuesday, on New Year's Eve, Easter, April 25th, May 1st, August 15th, November 1st, December 8th and Christmas.
