In the morning, your driver will meet you in your hotel lobby or your apartment in Beijing and then head to the Beijing Chaoyang Railway Station to catch the train to Chengde. It takes about 1 hour by bullet train from Beijing to Chengde.
Imperial Summer Palace of Mountain Resort

Upon arrival, your local guide will meet you at Chengde Railway station (exit with your name sign). Then take your private vehicle, head up to the UNESCO-listed Imperial Summer Palace of Mountain Resort, was chosen by the Qing emperor Kangxi in 1703 as a means of eluding the hot summers in the Forbidden City. This gloriously landscaped summer palace took almost a century to complete and was home to Qing Dynasty emperors, eunuchs, courtiers, and concubines during Beijing's scorching summer months for many years. Potala Palace (Putuo Zongcheng Temple)
