Day 1: Take an overnight train from Xi'an to Beijing

Day 2: Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City, Hutong and Temple of Heaven (L)

   After enjoy a tasty local lunch, continue to explore the Hutongs around Back Lakes, the Beijing old neighborhood. You can either do it by walking or taking a rickshaw(an option for you). Experience the life of the locals there.
4. Temple of Heaven

   In the afternoon, visit the 15th-century Temple of Heaven, the largest religious building in China. It was originally used by the Ming and Qing emperors to pay homage to heaven and to pray for a year of rich harvest, and locals now come to the temple to practice Tai Chi, sing, and dance.
   Finish the day with transfer to your Beijing downtown hotel (at your own arrangement).

Day 3: Mutianyu Great Wall and Summer Palace (L)

   Meet your guide and driver at your hotel lobby in the morning, and drive about 1.5 hours to the Mutianyu Great Wall, the best welcomed by travelers for its picturesque scenery, fewer tourist, and beautifully-restored architecture. You can either choose taking a cable car up and cable car down or chair lift up to the Wall and toboggan down. Spend 2-3 hours hiking on the Wall.
2. Summer Palace

   After a local dumpling lunch, continue to the Summer Palace. Spend the rest of the afternoon at the Summer Palace, a well-preserved royal garden. It has been listed in the World Heritage Sites and considered as one of the most classical gardens of the world.
