Overview

Admire the outstanding Accademia Gallery and walk along its rooms, with a passionate certificated local guide.

The gallery’s fame sweeps through the world also because of MICHELANGELO and the museum its-self is a sort of mausoleum dedicated to the painter, sculptor and architect consecrated by generations of art historians and writers.

Walking through this old friary hospital of San Matthew, discover the genius and his creations: from the PRIGIONI or SLAVES (Incomplete) sculptures of the difficulty of the artist in carving out the figure and emblematic masterpiece of the struggle of man to free the spirit from matter to the his iconic masterpiece, the gigantic biblical hero, DAVID.

Complete your tour with the wonderful RATTO DELLE SABINE by Giambologna and your guide talking about paintings and sculptures in the Gipsoteca (the hall of models)
