Overview

Experience a range of emotions as you play witness to the breathtaking landscapes of the Madeira island and its UNESCO-listed Laurisilva, a type of laurel forest. On this private tour learn about Madeiran culture, and visit important points of interest like the Central da Serra de Água power station and take a guided tour. See how work is done in the levadas, or irrigation channels, to catch water.

Head to the center of the island's mountain range and go to the Encumeada Viewpoint for gorgeous views over the valley in the North and South. During this tour also enjoy a short walk through the Laurisilva Forest.
