What to expect

  1. Impression Westlake
    Admission ticket included
Impression West Lake is a breathtaking open-air night performance staged directly on the tranquil waters of West Lake, seamlessly blending nature with artistic expression. Directed by the internationally acclaimed filmmaker Zhang Yimou, the show combines music, dance, lighting, and traditional Chinese culture to create a truly immersive and dreamlike experience.

Unlike a traditional theater performance, the lake itself becomes the stage, with the surrounding mountains, night sky, and shimmering reflections forming a natural backdrop. Performers appear to glide effortlessly across the water, enhanced by sophisticated lighting effects that transform the scenery into a poetic visual masterpiece. The performance draws inspiration from Hangzhou’s rich cultural heritage, telling stories of romance, folklore, and the elegance of classical Chinese aesthetics.
