Winay Wayna
5h · Admission ticket included
Today offers a more leisurely pace with just 5 hours of hiking to reach the final campsite. Beginning with a gentle Peruvian flat terrain for approximately 2 hours, the trek then descends to the campsite, showcasing diverse ecosystems and offering panoramic views of the Salkantay glacier, the second-highest peak in the Cusco region. Along the way, we'll explore two Inca ruins, Phuyupatamarka, and Intipata, with our guide providing insights into each site. Upon reaching Intipata ruins, the last campsite becomes visible, and after a brief explanation from our guide, we'll arrive at the campsite around 12:30 p.m. Following lunch, guests can shower and relax with a siesta until around 4 p.m., when we'll embark on a short hike to explore the Inca ruins of Wiñaywayna, allowing for free time for photography. Returning to the campsite, we'll bid farewell to our dedicated porters and enjoy dinner before retiring early to prepare for the following day's adventures.
