Capital of the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, it was born from the union of the industrial and residential area of Intra and some neighboring hamlets lying on the shores of the Borromeo Gulf.
It is one of the places where tourism and culture are most alive, equipped and cared for, it looks like a balcony from which to enjoy splendid views of the lake, such as Villa Giulia or Villa Rusconi Clerici.
