What to expect

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400 m)
  1. 1h
Our airport representative will be holding a Nepal Trek Adventures signboard and waiting for you outside the terminal building. As soon as he sees you, he will refer you in the direction of our tourist vehicle, which will take you to the hotel.
Day 2: Fly to Lukla (2,804 m) or Drive to Manthali (4-6 hours) and Fly to Lukla, and Trek to Phakding (2,610 m) - 3 to 4 hours
  1. 5h
We get up early and take a 35-minute scenic flight from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu to Tenzing and Hillary Airport in Lukla (2,804 m). When we get to the airport, the guide will give you a briefing and introduce our porters. Then, we'll start our hike to Phakding (2,610 m). After we land, we start our trek in the Everest region by going down to the Dudh Kosi River, where we join the main trail to Namche Bazaar, which is just above Chaunrikharka (2,713 m). It's easy to walk. After passing through the small village of Ghat (2,550 m), it's a short walk to Phakding.
Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,441 m) Around 5 to 6 hours
  1. Namche Bazaar
    16h
Today, the path takes us through forests, traditional villages with plowed fields, and yak pastures. We can see Thamserku rising above us as we approach the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park.

We keep going to Namche Bazaar after lunch. This is the biggest Sherpa village in the Khumbu region, and expeditions and trekking groups start from here.

Here, you can buy a few last-minute things (like chocolate) if you forgot to get them in Kathmandu.
Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazar
  1. Namche Bazaar
    1 day
Today is a day to get used to the high altitude so that our bodies can get used to it. But that doesn't mean we don't do anything! The best way to get used to the altitude is to do things.

You can spend a few hours hiking around the area or visiting the school Sir Edmund Hillary built in the Khumjung village as a thank you to the Sherpas for helping him climb Mt. Everest successfully.

Some of the mountains you can see today are Kwangde (6,011m), Thamserku (6,623m), Kangtega (6,782m), Nuptse (7,861m), Lhotse (8,516m), Ama Dablam (6,812m), and, of course, Mount Everest (8,848m).
Day 5: Namche to Tengboche (3,900m)
  1. Tengboche
    16h
We're leaving Namche today to keep hiking to Base Camp. The trail goes up slowly, and at times the path goes close to a steep slope.

During your climb, you will be able to see Ama Dablam. It stands 22,493 feet above the valley below. On the way, we will stop and eat lunch 3680 meters above sea level, where Lama Sange Dorje was born.

After lunch, we'll keep going to Tengboche, where we'll spend the night. There are also forests, small waterfalls, pine trees, colored rhododendrons that leave beautiful dots on the green base, and many other beautiful sights.
Day 6: Tengboche to Dingboche
  1. Dingboche
    16h
The best way to trek to Everest Base Camp is along the lower path. On the way back, we'll take the upper path and stop at Gopma, which is 120 meters above the lower settlement.
After passing Pangboche, the trail crosses an alpine meadow above the tree line and comes to Orsho, where it splits in two. The lower trail goes to Dingboche.
When hikers get to Dingboche, which is 4,410 meters above sea level, they can walk around and see views of Ama Dablam, the Imja River, and other mountains.
Here, the helicopter landing pad is close to Moonlight Lodge, one of the best lodges in the area, as well as the Internet Cafe and one of the highest billiards halls in the world.
Day 7: Second Acclimatization day at Dingboche
  1. Dingboche
    1 day
On your day off in Dingboche, you can climb to Chhukung Ri, a 5550-meter rock outcrop with a great view of Makalu, Ama Dablam, and Baruntse, or hike around the 4730-meter Chhukung village.

In Chhukung, you can eat lunch at any hotel you want. However, Hotel Bright Star is the most popular choice. We'll go back to Dingboche after lunch.
Day 8: Dingboche to Lobuche
  1. 16h
A route between wide valleys leads to Dughla, where the hike to Lobuche, which is 4910 m above sea level, starts. Cross a few yak fields in Dusa and keep going to Lobuche.
Above the tree line, the paths are now empty and snow-covered. So, you will notice that there are no trees or green hills. You only see slopes with snow on them.
There are no Sherpa villages that stay here in Lobuche. You will have beautiful views of the tea houses and tall mountains nearby. The views of Tawache, Pumari Peak, and Cholaste are so beautiful that you can't look away.
Day 9: Trek to Everest base camp and back to Gorakshep
  1. Mount Everest
    3h
It takes two to three hours to hike from Lobuche to Gorakshep. At 4900 meters, the Khumbu Glacier is the world's tallest glacier. The route goes through it.

The glacier is 12 km long and has a shape that looks like the moon. As you explore the ice formations and small water pools, you will have the time of your life.

On day nine of the trek to Everest Base Camp.

The end of the trek to Everest Base Camp is only a short distance away. Everest Base Camp is where mountain climbers start their journey to the top of the mountain.

Words can't describe what it's like to stand at the base of the world's tallest mountain. After that, we go back down to Gorakshep.
Day 10: Gorakshep to Pheriche via Kalapatthar
  1. Kala Patthar
    16h
At 5545 meters, walk toward Kalapatthar, the highest point of this Everest Base camp trek. When you get to the highest point, you'll be able to see Mt. Everest, Amadablam, and Pumori peak up close.

As well as the huge views of the mountains and glaciers around you that make you feel like you're in heaven. After a few hours of walking, you can visit the H.M.A.R. hospital, which was built in 1975, or the nearby village (4371m).
Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,441 m) - 7 to 8 hours
  1. Namche Bazaar
    16h
On the way back to Namche, the trail is easy to walk, and the views of the mountains and forests are beautiful.

There will be numerous brief stops to take in the Everest region's vista. We move slowly through the towns of Orsho, Somare, Pangboche, and Tengboche on our way to Namche, stopping to look at the mountains.
Day 12: Trek to Lukla (2,804 m) - 6 to 7 hours
  1. Lukla
    16h
Today is the last day of our trek in the Everest area. We'll be going back to Lukla, where the trek began, to end the trip. We like this time because it gives us a chance to talk about the trek as a group and to think about what each person did to make it happen. You don't have to do anything in the afternoon, so you can go out, relax, and take a hot shower. In the evening, have a few drinks and dance with the other people on your trek.
Day 13: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu or fly to Manthali from Lukla (2,804 m) and Drive to Kathmandu (4-6 hours)
  1. Lukla
    5h
The 35-minute scenic flight takes us back to Kathmandu while we enjoy our last look at the mountains and our last morning in the Everest region. When we get to Kathmandu, we are met and taken back to the hotel where we started. If you want to stay longer, you can do things like a jungle safari in Chitwan, a river rafting adventure, a shopping tour in Kathmandu, mountain biking, and more.
Day 14: Transfer to the International Airport for your final departure
  1. 2h
The Everest Base Camp trek is over, and our airport representative will take you to Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu so you can catch a flight out of Nepal.
