What to expect

  1. Chania Prefecture
    6h
When people think of Chania, they often picture the iconic Venetian Lighthouse and the narrow, colorful alleys of the Old Town. But the true soul of Crete’s westernmost prefecture lies beyond the city limits. Chania is a land of dramatic contrasts, where snow-capped mountain peaks overlook turquoise lagoons, and ancient olive groves hide secrets of centuries past.
If you’re ready to trade the cobblestones for mountain trails and the harbor crowds for hidden coves, here is your guide to the authentic Chania countryside.
Chania is more than a city. It is a wild, beautiful, and timeless escape.
The coastline of Chania is home to some of the world’s most celebrated beaches, each offering a unique connection to nature.
The spine of Chania is formed by the Lefka Ori, a majestic range that defines the Cretan landscape.
The Chania countryside isn’t just a place to look at; it’s a place to experience.
