Overview
We start the excursion towards Camacha village for a visit to the Crafts Factory and the Wicker Bazaar. Then, we climbed Poiso towards Pico do Arieiro (1810 meters), this being the third highest peak on Madeira Island. We go down to Ribeiro Frio where you can visit a trout pond as well as admire an important part of Madeira's Laurissilva Forest (world heritage). We continue to Santana, known for its famous thatched houses. Stop for lunch (not included). After lunch, we pass through the Porto da Cruz area and continue to Ponta de São Lourenço.
