    Transfer departs from the tourist port at Piazza Concordia along the lungomare (waterfront) of Salerno.

    The name means "Bell Point" in English and is where the Bay of Naples and Gulf of Salerno meet. In the Middle Ages, a tower with a bell was built at the site as a coastal defense against pirate invasions. The bell was rung as a warning to nearby towns whenever danger approached. It is also currently a nature preserve.

    On a clear day as you cross the Bay you will see to your right the still active Volcano, Mount Vesuvius, looming over the city of Naples and the Bay.
