9 Days Poon Hill Trek

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (Altitude 1400 m)

1. 1 day
   On arrival day, you will be welcomed with traditional gestures of Nepalese representative formal attire garlands and traditional Buddhist ceremonial scarf. The representative will guide you to the hotel. You can wander around the streets of Thamel and explore shops during the late afternoon. Then, a cultural dinner is presented to please your taste.

Day 2: Drive to Pokhara (5-6 hours ride)

   After breakfast, your trip begins towards Pokhara. You can observe the beauty of Pokhara passing through rivers and greenery on the way. After your lunch, you will spend some quality time at the Lake Side. You can do boating in Fewa Lake and the temple Tal Barahi-gives you a feeling of a religious island.

Day 3: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tirkhedunga (1570 m)

   After a ride from Pokhara, begin with a short walk along the banks of the Modi Khola reach Birethathi. There, you can encounter inhabitants of a village lifestyle. After the short climb, reach Tikhedhunga. Today’s walk gives the full experience of trekking in Nepal. The trail will surprise you with the beauty of blooming rhododendron and flowing streams.

Day 4: Trek Tirkhedunga to Ghorepani (2874 m)

   Trek to Ulleri, you will inhabit in the beautiful forests of oak and rhododendron towards Banthanti. See the amazing wildlife of the area. Then, trek towards Nangethanti with the excitement of crossing the river. After an hour's walks, arrive at Ghorepani with a view of gorgeous Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and other mountains.

Day 5: Hike up Ghorepani to Poon Hill then to Tadapani (3210 m)

   Early in the morning hike to Poon Hill. View the scenery of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Macchapuchre, Nilgiri, etc. Moving to the trail that follows Tadapani, thriving pine forests to the Deurali amaze you. Then, dazzling waterfalls, streams, and dense forests to Banthati are cherished. At Tadapani, you will find the water supply for a village far away.

Day 6: Trek to Ghandruk then to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara

   New daylight starts your trek to Ghandruk. You will come across another ethnic group of Nepal, the Gurungs. Then, trek back to Nayapul. You can also meet some Gurkhas who had served in the British Army during World War II. From there, you will drive to Pokhara and spent time in the lakeside to lighten up. You can also shop for a souvenir of your trip.

Day 7: Stay at Pokhara

   After your breakfast, enjoy boating in Fewa Lake and a religious trip to the temple Tal Barahi, giving you a feeling of a religious island. Drawn back by boating in the serene lake that covers Sarangkot and Kaskikot. Explore the reasons for the rise in tourist rate in Pokhara every year.

Day 8: Return back to Kathmandu

Day 9: Departure
