Desire on Display: The Homoerotic Louvre Tour (Max 6 people)

With a maximum of six people per group, you are guaranteed a nearly private experience! Throughout the history of art, the male nude and homosexuality have been catalysts in the development of art. This unique tour will bring you through the depiction on not only homosexuality but also of masculinity and nudity over a period of 9000 years from Mesopotamia to 19th century French paintings.  Although the main theme of much of the paintings in the Louvre is religious, the painters behind them wove a saucy network of affairs and sex - often with each other.  If you want to learn about the drama between Raphael, Leonardo, and Michelangelo and how this manifested in their art and portrayals of men, this is the tour for you!
