What to expect

  1. Pass by
Make your own way to Alexis Park Resort to meet your guide and begin your journey through the legends of classic Las Vegas.

Mr. Showmanship didn’t just perform in Vegas; he built his own world here. Visit the former site of Liberace’s Tivoli Gardens restaurant, part of the plaza that once housed the Liberace Museum, and hear how the most flamboyant entertainer of his era became a Las Vegas institution. Look for Liberace’s face on the building and discover the legacy of this iconic venue, once a gathering place for celebrities and a reflection of his unmistakable style.
  2. Las Vegas National Golf Club
    Pass by
Cruise through the mid-century neighborhoods surrounding Las Vegas National Golf Club, where striking modernist homes reflect the style and glamour of 1960s Las Vegas. The golf course was a favorite gathering spot for the Rat Pack, while nearby Paradise Palms became home to entertainers and other prominent locals. Hear the stories behind the homes, the golf course, and the colorful characters and backroom deals that shaped the city beyond the casino floor.
  3. Casino at the El Cortez Hotel
    Pass by
Drive past El Cortez, the oldest continuously operating casino in Las Vegas, which opened in 1941. Once owned by notorious mob figures Bugsy Siegel and Meyer Lansky before Siegel went on to develop the Flamingo, El Cortez remains a link to the city’s early casino era. See a piece of old-school Las Vegas that has retained much of its original character amid decades of change.
  4. Las Vegas
    Pass by
Drive past the historic site of the Moulin Rouge, which opened in 1955 as the first racially integrated hotel-casino in Las Vegas. At a time when Black entertainers such as Sammy Davis Jr. could perform on the Strip but were barred from staying at many of its hotels, the Moulin Rouge offered a different kind of welcome. Although it closed within months, the 1960 Moulin Rouge Agreement, signed here, helped pave the way toward desegregation on the Strip. The original building was later destroyed by fire, but you can still see the iconic Moulin Rouge neon sign preserved at the Neon Museum. You’ll also pass the home of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the city’s long-running newspaper, still publishing today.
  5. Las Vegas Downtown
    Pass by
Cruise through Downtown Las Vegas and pass the iconic Plaza Hotel, a longtime fixture of the city’s skyline that has appeared in numerous Hollywood movies. Along the way, take in the classic hotel-casinos that helped shape vintage Vegas and continue to give downtown its distinctive old-school character.
  6. Downtown Gateway Arch
    10m
Stop at the Downtown Gateway Arches, a striking retro-style landmark marking the northern entrance to Las Vegas Boulevard. Before the megaresorts transformed the city, this stretch of road welcomed travelers with vintage motels, glowing neon signs, and classic roadside casinos. Look up to see the two 80-foot steel arches and their oversized pink emblem, created by YESCO, the same sign company behind the famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. Here’s a little-known local fact: the Strip itself lies largely outside Las Vegas city limits, which begin just south of these arches.
  7. Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino
    Pass by
Step into the legacy of the King at the Westgate, originally opened in 1969 as the International Hotel. This is where Elvis Presley made Las Vegas history, performing 837 consecutive sold-out shows between 1969 and 1976 and helping define the era of the superstar residency. The hotel remains a landmark of classic Vegas entertainment, with an Elvis statue greeting visitors in the lobby and a legacy that still looms large over the city’s showbiz history.
  8. The Las Vegas Strip
    Pass by
Drive along the Las Vegas Strip and pass the former sites of legendary casinos that helped define vintage Vegas before being demolished to make way for a new era. See where the Sands once stood before the Venetian, the Desert Inn before Wynn, the Stardust, the Dunes before Bellagio, and the Hacienda. Along the way, your guide brings the stories of the Rat Pack, the mob, and the golden age of Las Vegas showrooms back to life, revealing the history beneath today’s glittering skyline.
  9. 1h 10m · Admission ticket included
It's SHOWTIME! You just stood where the King played 837 straight sold-out shows. Now it’s time to see him live. Your tour ends back at Alexis Park, home of The Modern Showrooms, where the doors open for All Shook Up, the ultimate Elvis tribute, at 6:00 PM. From “Heartbreak Hotel” to “Suspicious Minds,” it’s a full live production capturing the moves, the voice, and the swagger that made Elvis the biggest act Vegas ever saw. All Shook Up is now in its 11th year as a Vegas residency and rated 5 stars by audiences. It’s played in an intimate showroom, the way Vegas used to do it. The Strip tore down the showrooms where the legends played. We built new ones. Thank you, thank you very much.
