Overview

Skip the tourist traps. Spend an evening in Tenma, the neighbourhood where Osaka locals actually go to drink. Your guide Nanami (lives in Osaka, lived in Australia for 3 years) takes you to three tiny, old-school sake bars with no English menus and almost no tourists. She orders for you, explains what you're drinking and eating, and shows you how locals do an evening out: a quick beer at a standing bar, a small glass of sake chosen from over 100 kinds, then a seat in a classic sake hall for Osaka dishes. Small group, so you can actually talk.
