Start at Pozo Azul Waterfall in Bajos del Toro, where your local guide gives a short briefing before the hike. Then follow Quebrada Seca, a dry riverbed canyon of exposed volcanic rock, hopping over boulders and walking through cloud forest on an intermediate trail. Along the way, your guide shares insights about the valley’s geology, plants and wildlife. The route ends at a deep blue pool fed by a waterfall, a striking contrast to the dry canyon behind you. Take time to rest, enjoy the views and take photos before hiking back. The activity lasts about 4 hours and finishes at the meeting point.
