Overview

Most tours to Los Arcos depart from the southern part of the bay. Ours departs directly from Marina Vallarta, with no long overland transfers—just hop on board and set sail. We keep our groups small and depart in the morning, when the water is calmest and clearest, so you’ll have more time in the water and fewer boats around. In the Los Arcos Marine Park, you’ll snorkel on the rocky reef, swim through the caves, and see tropical fish along the way. Then we’ll visit the iconic Mismaloya Beach, a jungle-surrounded beach made famous by the classic film *The Night of the Iguana*, where you can relax at your own pace. Food and drinks aren’t included, so you decide how much to spend and enjoy a meal right by the ocean. A friendly, bilingual guide makes the experience easy for first-time snorkelers and families alike.

Los Arcos de Mismaloya

After a scenic 30-minute boat ride across Banderas Bay, we’ll arrive at the spectacular Los Arcos Marine Park. Here, you’ll have time to snorkel in its clear waters and explore the unique rock formations, arches, tunnels, and underwater caves.
Keep an eye out for colorful tropical fish, rays, sea turtles, and other marine life. Above the water, you may also spot pelicans, frigatebirds, cormorants, and other coastal birds. After enjoying this magical spot, we’ll continue toward Mismaloya Beach.

After snorkeling at Los Arcos, we’ll continue along the coast to beautiful Mismaloya Beach, a must-visit destination in Puerto Vallarta. Surrounded by lush green mountains, tropical vegetation, and the turquoise waters of Banderas Bay, this picturesque beach offers the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Mexico’s Pacific coast.
Mismaloya is also famous for being a filming location for the classic Hollywood movie The Night of the Iguana, starring Richard Burton and Ava Gardner, which helped put Puerto Vallarta on the international map.
During our stop, you can swim in the ocean, stroll along the beach, enjoy a refreshing drink, or try delicious local seafood and traditional Mexican dishes at a nearby beachfront restaurant. Take your time to soak up the sun, admire the scenery, and experience the authentic charm of this coastal paradise before we return to Puerto Vallarta.
