Overview

Sumay Cacao invites you to discover the authentic cacao of America, far from industrial chocolate and conventional tastings.

Our experience comes from direct contact with producers from Peru and Ecuador, from knowing their lands, their varieties, and the traditions surrounding this plant for thousands of years.

You will taste three single-origin pure chocolates, carefully selected, without sugar or additives, and discover their differences through the senses.

The tasting is personally guided by the founder of Sumay Cacao, who shares her experiences, travels, and knowledge about cacao and the communities that cultivate it.

An intimate, close, and participatory experience, in a small space specializing in the heart of Ronda, where every cup has a story to tell.

What's included

  • Cocoa drinks and water

What to expect

During this experience you will discover cocoa from a different perspective, far beyond the chocolate we know.

We will begin with an introduction to the origins of cacao in America, its history, its cultural importance, and the journey it takes from the tree to our cup.

Afterward, we will have a guided tasting of three pure chocolates from different varieties and origins of Peru and Ecuador. You will learn to recognize their textures and intensities, discovering how each cocoa expresses the characteristics of its origin and production.

We will share impressions, explore our senses, and you will get to know a different way to enjoy cocoa, without sugar or other ingredients that alter its natural flavor.

A close, educational, and sensory experience, in a cozy environment with time to ask questions and share discoveries. You don't need prior knowledge, just curiosity to discover the true cacao.

At Sumay Cacao, we work directly with producers from America, selecting single-origin cocoa and respecting their varieties, their processes, and the communities that cultivate them, as well as the people behind every cup.
