What to expect

Explore Rome on foot through a self-guided historical mystery game set in 1494. You will follow Matteo, a young notary’s apprentice caught between the papal world and the arrival of the French army. Using your own smartphone, you will follow clues through real streets, examine historical details, solve puzzles, uncover altered documents and decide who to trust. Depending on your choices, the route may include Borgo, the Passetto di Borgo, Castel Sant’Angelo and Ponte Sant’Angelo. GPS checkpoints unlock the next parts of the story as you progress. There is no guide and no fixed group, so you can play at your own pace. Different choices can lead to different discoveries and endings.
