    Your guide meets you in the heart of the old city and walks you through a one-hour route built for the camera: the blue-cobblestone streets lined with pastel colonial facades, the umbrella-canopied stretch of Calle Fortaleza, the 16th-century San Juan Cathedral, the tiny Capilla del Cristo chapel tucked at the end of a narrow lane, and the historic Plaza de Armas with City Hall.

    From there you'll head toward the old city walls along Paseo de la Princesa, stopping at La Puerta de San Juan — the iconic red door that was the city's main entrance 500 years ago — for sweeping views of San Juan Bay and El Morro's fortress walls in the distance.
