We will pick you up from your selected meeting point and drive to the forests surrounding Rovaniemi. After meeting your guide and the dog, you'll learn about traditional Lapland dog work before heading into the forest. Along the way, you'll observe how the dog follows scents and reads the terrain, while your guide explains the dog's behaviour, the signs of wildlife and the rhythms of the northern wilderness.
During the experience, we'll stop for an open-fire BBQ in the forest. Depending on conditions, the fire may be made at a suitable spot in nature or at a traditional wilderness shelter (Laavu or Kota). Enjoy hot drinks, seasonal treats and the peaceful atmosphere of the Lapland forest before returning to Rovaniemi.
Departure management is completed the evening before the activity. We will contact you to confirm the final departure time, which is typically very close to the scheduled start time.
