We explore working salt pans, look for wild flamingos and follow quieter routes into hidden green corners. Relax at a waterfall and, when conditions allow, enjoy a refreshing swim. Finish by the coast with sand beneath your feet and sea air around you. A little local surprise is part of the journey, and we keep one of our favourite stops a secret.

Discover the Tavira we love on an unhurried journey in a classic Portuguese open-top UMM 4x4. Explore working salt pans and look for wild flamingos, then follow quieter routes into hidden nature. Enjoy a waterfall stop with around 30 minutes of free time and, when conditions allow, a refreshing swim. Continue towards the coast for around 20 minutes to relax, feel the sand and breathe the sea air. Along the way, enjoy local stories, recommendations, music during parts of the journey and a small local surprise or tasting. We keep one of our favourite stops a little secret. The route and order of stops are flexible; wildlife sightings, salt-pan colors and swimming depend on natural and local conditions.
