Overview

Discover Lipari with a walk in the heart of the historic center, starting from the port of Marina Lunga. We will go up along via Meligunis to the Piazza del Comune and the Castle of Lipari, where we will visit the ancient acropolis, the Cathedral of San Bartolomeo, and the panoramic amphitheater overlooking Marina Corta and the island of Vulcano.     We will arrive at the Castle of Lipari and walk inside the ancient acropolis, among archaeological remains, tombs, and testimonies of the civilizations that inhabited the island. Whoever wishes can visit the Cathedral of San Bartolomeo. We will then proceed to the amphitheater, one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Lipari, with a view of Marina Corta and the island of Vulcano. We will stop for a few minutes to admire the view and take photographs.

    We will go down from the Castle towards Marina Corta, crossing the characteristic streets of the historic center. Arriving in the square by the sea, we will stop to observe the small harbor, the fishermen's boats, and the atmosphere of the village. We will then reach Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the heart of the town, and from there we will continue to Marina Lunga, at the port, where the walk will end at the same point from which we started.
