During your tour of Yaxmuul, you’ll be accompanied by a guide at all times, who will provide a brief safety briefing and instructions on how to use the life jacket before you begin.
The guide will accompany you through all four cenotes, assisting you with access to the enclosed cenotes and providing support during the rappel descent. He or she will also coordinate your participation in the Mayan ceremony led by the shaman.
Throughout the experience, the guide will be available to answer any questions and share information about the site’s natural and cultural history, ensuring that your tour is safe and enjoyable from start to finish.
The tour lasts approximately 2 hours. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and non-slip footwear, as well as bringing a change of dry clothes and a towel for after the activity. The use of sunscreen and insect repellent is not permitted to protect the cenote’s ecosystem.
