Overview

Join a fishing charter in Madeira and experience some of the best fishing grounds in the Atlantic. This trip is ideal for solo anglers, couples, or families who want to enjoy a true fishing adventure while sharing the experience with others on board.

Operating in Madeira’s rich coastal waters, this trip focuses primarily on bottom fishing, targeting a variety of local species depending on season and conditions. Species include amberjack, dentex, snapper, and grouper. With guidance from the experienced crew, fish productive spots using proven techniques and professional equipment.

The trip takes place aboard Balancal, a powerful and fully equipped Lochin 333 sportfishing vessel, upgraded in 2025 with new twin 300hp engines (Yanmar 6lp 2025) and an upgraded deck and indoor areas.

All fishing gear is provided, including Shimano rods and reels, heavy and light tackle setups, bait, and lures. First-mate Fraga can also fillet the fish if you wish to keep your catch and cook it later.

What to expect

Crew will guide you to vessel and depart from the marina do Funchal.

Upon departure, crew will head out to active fishing grounds. The main activity is bottom fishing (jigging) over Madeira’s rocky underwater reefs and structures, targeting species such as snapper, grouper, amberjack, and other local bottom fish.

First-mate Fraga can also fillet the fish if you wish to keep your catch and cook it later.

After the duration of the trip is complete. The crew will return back to the marina do Funchal.
