Overview

Begin at Shurijo Castle, the former royal palace of the Ryukyu Kingdom, and visit the sacred Sonohyan-utaki Ishimon stone gate. Continue to Tamaudun, the royal mausoleum of the Ryukyu kings. Walk along the historic Shuri Kinjo-cho Stone-Paved Road, surrounded by traditional scenery and subtropical greenery.
Next, visit Shikina-en, a former royal villa and traditional Ryukyuan garden built to entertain important guests.
