Overview

Dive into the rough, salty history of the harbor front of Bremerhaven. This is not a typical, sunny harbor walk. We dive deep into the brutal, awe-inspiring, and sometimes tragic world of industrial fishing and shipbuilding. Discover how a city that lived by fishing the icy North Sea survived the collapse of its own economic lifeline and reinvented itself through science, specialized technology, and a carefully curated memory of its past. Prepare yourself for heavy steel, the spirit of diesel exhaust, and stories of human perseverance.
