Overview
Discover the heart of northern Kenya, privately and at your own pace. Starts and ends in Nanyuki. From Nasuulu Lodge, on a hillside above the river with its own infinity pool, you'll explore Samburu and Buffalo Springs. Look for the Special Five, elephants, lion, leopard and cheetah, mostly with no one else around.
That wildlife is here for a reason. In Nasuulu Conservancy, four communities, the Samburu, Turkana, Borana and Somali, share one land in peace. Your local guides read the tracks with you and share their traditions, with an optional village visit and, one evening, a firelight dinner in the riverbed.

What to expect
Day 1: Nanyuki - Samburu

We collect you from your hotel in Nanyuki in the morning and drive north into Nasuulu Conservancy, arriving at the lodge in time for lunch. Settle in, then relax around the fire in the evening with your first taste of the bush.
Day 2: Samburu National Park
Samburu National Reserve

Wake before sunrise for the best chance of spotting predators, then spend the morning tracking the Samburu Special Five across the reserve. Back at the lodge for lunch, before returning to the park for a late-afternoon game drive and sundowner.
Day 3: Buffalo Springs
Buffalo Springs National Reserve

Rise early again to increase your chances of spotting leopard or lion, then cool off in the natural springs surrounded by untouched bush. Back at the lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon visit to a Samburu village and a late-afternoon game drive. Dinner and sundowners at the river, in the bushes, with the fire lit and the sounds of the night around you.
Day 4: Samburu - Nanyuki

After breakfast, we begin the drive back, dropping you back at your hotel in Nanyuki.

We pick you up from your hotel in Nanyuki town on the morning of Day 1 and drop you back at your Nanyuki hotel on Day 4. We'll confirm the pickup time with you before the trip.
