What to expect

    Pass through the historic town of Chinchero as you descend into the Sacred Valley. Chinchero sits at 3,762 m and is known for its Inca ruins and traditional textile weaving. Your guide will point out landmarks and explain the ecological transition as you move from high Andean grasslands toward the warmer valley.

    Arrive at Ensifera Camp (2,900 m), a privately owned conservation area operated by PERU NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY, dedicated to protecting hummingbirds and native birds. Set up your photography equipment at the specially prepared feeding area designed for natural-light photography. Observe and photograph endemic species such as the Green-and-white Hummingbird, White-tufted Sunbeam, Violet-throated Starfrontlet, Chestnut-breasted Mountain Finch, Sword-billed Hummingbird, and Giant Hummingbird. Enjoy an included organic lunch on-site, then continue photographing throughout the afternoon as bird activity changes with the light.
