What to expect

Day 1: DAY 1: CUSCO - ABRA MALAGA - SAN LUIS CLOUD FOREST - TUNKIWASI LODGE

    Travel through the spectacular Abra Malaga mountain pass, located at over 4,200 meters above sea level. With your professional birdwatching guide, you will explore this high Andean ecosystem and search for endemic and high-altitude bird species while enjoying panoramic views of the Andes. Stops are made along the route for bird observation and nature photography depending on weather conditions and bird activity.
Day 2: DAY 2 : TUNKIWASI LODGE - INCATAMBO - CUSCO

    Start the morning with a birdwatching session around Tunkiwasi Lodge, located in the lush cloud forest of the Cusco region. Accompanied by a professional birdwatching guide, travelers will explore the surrounding trails in search of colorful cloud forest species and endemic birds. This is an ideal opportunity for nature photography, observing hummingbirds, tanagers, trogons, toucans, and other native species in their natural habitat.

    Visit the Incatambo area during the return journey to Cusco. Enjoy the natural surroundings and the transition from the cloud forest landscapes back toward the Andean highlands while traveling through one of the region’s scenic routes.

Hotel pickup is available from accommodations located in Cusco city center. Pickup starts at approximately 5:00 AM on Day 1. Please be ready at the hotel lobby at the scheduled time. Travelers staying outside the city center should contact us in advance to confirm the pickup location and any additional arrangements.
