Fire Journey transforms a Finnish sauna visit into a complete evening experience combining heat, water, fire, Arctic nature and northern gastronomy.

The journey unfolds at an unhurried pace, allowing you to experience three distinctly different saunas, the contrast between the heated outdoor pool and the Kemijoki River, and atmospheric moments by the fire. The evening is completed with a carefully prepared dinner inspired by the flavours and ingredients of the North.

With panoramic river views, personal hosting and food forming an essential part of the journey, Fire Journey offers much more than a traditional sauna visit. It is an immersive introduction to Finnish sauna culture at its most atmospheric.

What to expect

Fire Journey is a three-hour guided sauna and dining experience at SUMA Sauna & Lounge, located on the banks of the Kemijoki River.

Your host will welcome you with a refreshing drink and introduce you to SUMA’s saunas and Finnish sauna culture. During the experience, you can enjoy three different types of sauna: the authentic heat of a traditional wood-burning sauna, panoramic river views from the electric sauna and the gentle warmth of the steam sauna.

Between sauna sessions, relax in the heated outdoor pool or cool down with an invigorating dip in the Kemijoki River. After the sauna, the experience continues with a complete dinner inspired by Arctic flavours and northern ingredients.

A towel, bathrobe and sauna slippers are included. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated when communicated in advance.
