What to expect

Day 1: Cusco – Km 82 – Llactapata – Camp
  1. 8h
The adventure starts very early with pickup from your hotel in Cusco. We will travel by tourist transport to the Sacred Valley until we reach the famous starting point of the trekking: the 82 km, where the legendary Inca Trail to Machu Picchu officially begins.

After checking in at the entrance control and getting to know the whole team (guides, porters and cooks), we will start the hike surrounded by stunning Andean landscapes.

This first day is perfect to adapt to the rhythm of the trek, combining smooth stretches with spectacular views of the Urubamba River and sacred mountains. Along the tour we will visit the archaeological site of Llactapata, where you can appreciate ancient Inca constructions surrounded by nature.

In the end, we will arrive at our first camp in Wayllabamba, where a dinner prepared by our team awaits us. Here you can rest under a sky full of stars.
Day 2: Challenge and Conquest – Warmiwañusca Pass to Pacaymayo
  1. 8h
This is considered the most challenging day, but also the most rewarding. After an energetic breakfast, we begin the ascent to the highest point: the famous Abra Warmiwañusca (Dead Woman Passage).

When you reach the top, at more than 4,200 meters, you will live an unforgettable moment: breathtaking panoramic views of the Andes and the unique feeling of having overcome the greatest challenge of the road.

Then we begin the descent to the Pacaymayo Valley, where our camp is located. The day where you push your limits and connect with the strength of the Andes.
Day 3: Chaquicocha – Phuyupatamarca – Wiñay Wayna
  1. Winay Wayna
    8h · Admission ticket included
The third day is simply spectacular. You will enjoy a much more varied route, considered by many as the most beautiful of the Inca Trail.

We will pass through places like Runkurakay, Sayacmarca and Phuyupatamarca, known as “the city on the clouds”. Finally, we descend to our last camp in Wiñay Wayna.
Day 4: Wiñay Wayna – Inti Punku – Machu Picchu
  1. Inti Punku Sun Gate
    30m · Admission ticket included
We will arrive at Inti Punku, the Sun Gate, from where we will have the first view of Machu Picchu after completing the Inca Trail.
  2. Machupicchu
    2h · Admission ticket included
We will descend from Inti Punku to Machu Picchu to take a guided tour of the Inca city, with time to learn about its main sectors and understand its history.
